In cement production lines, cooling fans are critical equipment for maintaining thermal balance in the kiln-head area. Recently, a cooling fan at the head of a large cement clinker kiln experienced sustained vibration levels exceeding allowable limits due to loosening of the motor foundation bolts. The Zhongyun Technology Intelligent Operations and Maintenance Platform promptly issued an early warning and provided guidance to the enterprise on tightening the bolts, thereby successfully preventing cascading equipment damage that could have resulted from the foundation loosening.

 

1. Real-time monitoring: Detecting abnormal speed signals

On February 11, 2026, platform monitoring data indicated that the vibration velocity at the drive-end measurement point of the cooling fan motor exceeded the safety threshold, immediately triggering an alarm and simultaneously generating a diagnostic conclusion of “imbalance or foundation loosening.” The system automatically forwarded the alarm device information, affected department, severity level, and specific time stamp to the operations and maintenance team, enabling the timely detection of latent faults and providing clear guidance for subsequent corrective actions.

2. Intelligent Diagnosis and Precise Verification

Upon receiving the alarm, the Zhongyun Diagnostics team immediately conducted an in-depth analysis of the vibration data. By integrating the equipment’s structural characteristics and operating parameters, they determined that the root cause of the fault was loosening of the motor foundation.
