The SL4000-X series eddy current displacement sensor can measure the relative position between the measured object (must be a metal conductor) and the probe end face. Due to the eddy current sensor's long-term reliability, high sensitivity, strong anti-interference ability, non-contact measurement, fast response speed, and resistance to oil, water, and other media, it is often used for long-term real-time monitoring of parameters such as shaft displacement, shaft vibration, shaft speed, key phase, and eccentricity of large rotating machinery. This allows for analysis of the equipment's operating status and fault causes, effectively protecting the equipment and enabling predictive maintenance.

Composition of Eddy Current Sensor
The system mainly includes the probe, preamplifier, extension cable (optional according to user needs), and accessories.
Note: Explosion-proof eddy current displacement sensors must be used with safety barriers to form a system.
Probe
Probe: The probe faces the surface of the measured object and can accurately detect changes in the gap between the measured object's surface and the probe end face. Typically, the probe consists of a coil, head, housing, high-frequency cable, and high-frequency connector. The coil is the core of the probe and the sensitive element of the entire sensor system. The physical size and electrical parameters of the coil determine the sensor system's linear range and the stability of the probe's electrical parameters. The probe head is made of high and low temperature resistant PPS material, and the coil is sealed inside by a "secondary injection molding" process. This technology enhances the strength of the probe head and ensures the coil inside the head is reliably protected in harsh environments. The probe housing supports the probe head and serves as the clamping structure during installation. The housing is made of stainless steel and is equipped with a locking nut.
Preamplifier
The preamplifier is an electronic signal processor. On one hand, it provides high-frequency AC current to the probe coil; on the other hand, it senses changes in the probe parameters caused by the proximity of metal conductors in front of the probe. After processing by the preamplifier, it generates an output voltage linearly corresponding to the gap change between the probe end face and the measured metal conductor. Power supply Ut: -24VDC±10%.
Extension Cable
As a component of the system, the extension cable is used to connect and extend the distance between the probe and the preamplifier. You can choose the length of the extension cable and whether it needs to be armored. The length of the extension cable should be selected so that the total length of the extension cable plus the probe cable matches the length required by the matching preamplifier (5m or 9m).
